Welcome to our weekly newsletter where you will get first hand information of all our teams from Senior to U-12 level as the year progresses. As the summer draws to a close, our teams are in full swing in preparation for the concluding stages of this years championships with a busy few weeks ahead.
Senior Hurling: With the Tipp U-21's playing Galway on Wednesday 8th August, the next round of the county championship is scheduled to go ahead on the weekend 11/12th August when our seniors are up against Carrick Swans.
Intermediate Hurling: The intermediates had a hard fought win over Gortnahoe in the county league division 4 semi final last Friday in Holycross. In greasy conditions, scores were hard to come by for both teams but in the end our boys ran out 5 point winners on a score line of 13 points to 8 points. They move on to play Boherlahan Dualla in the league final with this fixture TBC. The intermediates play their second county championship fixture this Friday vs Galtee Rovers. U-16 Hurling: Our U-16's play Durlas Og this Tuesday 31st in their second group game at 7pm in Pairc na nOg Thurles.
U-14 Hurling: Our U-14's will contest the Mid semi final next Tuesday 7th against Gortnahoe at 7pm in The Ragg.
U-12 Hurling: This Saturday all roads lead to Templemore as both our U-12 teams contest their respective Mid finals. First up is the Group 5 team who will play Upperchurch at 11am. The Group 2 team are next up when they take on Boherlahan at 1:30. A huge effort has gone in to prepare our U-12's for this years championship and it is such an honour to have both teams qualify for the finals, please show your support this Saturday in Templemore.
Tipperary GAA: Commiserations to the Tipp minors after defeat to Kilkenny last Sunday in Croke Park. These young men have showed great heart and skill this year and was evident with a Munster championship win. A special word of praise goes to the Drom & Inch lads of Fintan Purcell and John Campion and also to selector Paul Collins for their efforts in 2018.
We would also like to wish Podge Campion, Stevie Nolan and the rest of the Tipp U-21 panel the versy best as they take on Galway in the All-Ireland semi final next Wednesday 8th.
