Seniors Prepare for Sars and All Other Club News

Its cruch time this weekend as our seniors and juniors prepare for knockout hurling. Following in the foot steps of the intermediates, who qualified for the county quarter final, the seniors prepare to go toe to toe with the county champions Sarsfields in a bid to stay in this years championship.

Tipperary were crowned All Ireland U-21 hurling champions for the first time since 2010, our minors took home the Mid Tipp minor B football title and all the other notes from another busy week in the club.

Senior Football: Our footballers play Kilsheelan tonight in their second county championship game this year this Monday at 6:45 in New Inn.

Senior Hurling: Our hurlers are preparing to play Thurles Sarsfields this Sunday at 6:30 in Holycross. A win sees our boys progress to the county quarter final.

Intermediate Hurling: Our intermediates had a hard fought 2 point win against Arravale Rovers last Saturday in Dundrum in their last group game. Final score was 1-17 to 1-15. This result sees the intermediates top their group with three wins from three and qualify for the county quarter final which is scheduled to go ahead at the end of September.

Junior Hurling: Our juniors will play JK Brackens this Saturday evening the mid junior B semi final at 5pm in Templetouhy.

Minor Football: Congratulations to our minors on their 2-13 to 11 0-11 win over Upperchurch last Wednesday in the mid minor B football final. This is our first minor B title since 2012. Well done to all the players and the management team of Matthew Buckley, Martin Everard, David Collins, Martin McGrath, Seamus Callanan and Matthew McGrath. We wish the the very best of luck in the county semi final.

U-16 Hurling: Our U-16 hurlers play JK Brackens this Wednesday in the Mid Tipp A semi final at 6:45 in Holycross.

Tipperary U-21 All Ireland: Massive congratulations to the Tipperary U-21 hurlers on their fantastic win over Cork in the All Ireland final on Sunday evening, particularly to Drom & Inch's very own Podge Campion and Stevie Nolan. This is the first time All Ireland medals in this grade have come to the parish since Pat Looby was on the team in 1979.
