Laochra Gael Awards: Recently club stalwart Seamus Butler of Annfield, received the prestigious Tipperary Laochra Gael award in The Dome, Thurles. Seamus has a proud record of service in the GAA. As a player, Seamus was a member of the 1970 intermediate county winning team, the first county final win for Drom & Inch, and was also a player on the 1974 Mid Tipp senior hurling championship win (above), another first in the club. Seamus was also a county representative for Drom & Inch by being a member on the 1971 All Ireland Intermediate hurling win. Which was captained by his late brother Eamon. Seamus was also club chairman for many years and was instrumental in the purchase and development of our current facilities in The Ragg. Seamus follows his wife Monica onto the list, who was incidentally honored a few years ago for her service to hurling & camogie in the parish.

Club AGM: The Annual General Meeting is currently scheduled to be held in the new year. If you or know anyone that may be interested in a role in the club, please contact Club Chairman, John Egan or Secretary Mattie Ryan.

The Oskarz: Due to recent events in the parish, filming for The Oskarz has been postponed as a mark of respect. We are currently seeking people to stand in as extras. Filming will recommence in the coming weeks. If you would like to help out, please contact Damien Young om 087 9253360.

Paddy Kennedy RIP: On Tuesday morning the 27th of November, the parish of Drom & Inch woke to the devastating news of the sudden passing of Paddy Kennedy of Annfield. Patrick, as he was know to his family, was a current player with Drom & Inch and lined out with our junior team in 2018, playing at full forward in the junior league final win in May and the Mid championship final loss in August. We offer our sympathies to his wife Rachelle, daughter Molly, mother Nonie, sisters Mareese and Antoinette and his brothers Shane and Donnacha. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
