Following yesterdays euphoric victory over Kilkenny, Tipperary are gearing up for another memorable homecoming. We hope as many people as possible can come out and welcome back our heroes. Here are the important details. The homecoming event for the All Ireland winning Tipperary team will begin in Semple Stadium this evening, August 19th.
The stadium will be open from 4pm with music and entertainment from 5:15pm. At present the team bus is scheduled to arrive in Semple Stadium for 7pm. Players and management to be introduced then to the supporters. After the on stage formalities have concluded players and management will return out to the Dome.
Please do not park on green areas and respect the neighbors around Semple Stadium. There will be parking available in the usual car parks used for match days. Please obey instructions of An Garda.
Following the introductions in the stadium, festivities will be already underway in the Drom & Inch GAA grounds in The Ragg. See the following important times:
- Gates in The Ragg grounds open at 6:30
- Disabled parking is available in the grounds along with team bus & officials only
- We ask all patrons to park in designated car parks and to obey Gardaí and stewards directions
- There will be signage & stewards highlighting car parks in close proximity of the hurling field
- Entertainment / music will begin at 7pm
- Match will be shown on big screen at 8pm
- Players and management will be introduced to patrons following the match viewing
- Hot food, confectionery and toilet facilities will be available in the grounds
