The Tipperary GAA Board has announced details of a new safety first, cashless ticketing arrangement for the FBD Insurance club championships in both hurling and football, which will see supporters having to purchase tickets before entry into any game.
All club matches will be pre-sold tickets only, starting from the football championship which kick off on the weekend of July 17th where our intermediate footballers take on Kiladangan on the Saturday in Borrisoleigh at 7pm, and the hurling the weekend after.
Attendances will be limited to 200 people for the first round of football matches on the 17th and increasing to 500 from July 20th, which means a larger attendance will be allowed at the senior hurlers opening round of the county championship vs Roscrea on July 25th.
The details were announced this week and we are told that participating clubs and season ticket holders will be given priority access to tickets with any unsold tickets going on public sale through the Tipperary website every Thursday.
Every Monday, each participating club will receive an allocation of 40 complimentary tickets for the team and mentors and 110 tickets which will be available for club members to purchase online or directly from club secretary, Trevor Hassett.
Entrance to matches is cashless. You can scan a print out of your ticket or have it on your mobile phone upon entry.
Please keep an eye on the app for announcements when tickets will be available.
